FINLAND

One of the most peaceful countries in the world, Finland is famed for its pine forests and lakes. Popular activities in the country include Nordic skiing, yachting, hiking, and kayaking.
ICELAND
Name this Nordic country, and the first thing that comes to mind is a snowtopped, pristine landscape and uber clean air. Most visitors head to Iceland during the summer, which runs from June to August. Iceland also finds itself on the global peace index and is a favorite among peacekeepers like the Dalai Lama and Kofi Annan.

One of Europe’s most beautiful countries, Norway has been consistently in the top 10 on this list, even topping it last year. The must-have experiences here are the midnight sun in the summer and the northern lights in the winter. Its virgin landscape also attracts a lot of hikers and skiers. A country of lovely beaches, Denmark is also a hit with young travelers for its comparably cheap beer and spirits. The country also boasts a World Heritage site, Jelling, famed for its runic stones.
