Tata Tigor

Tata Motors has launched the Tigor JTP, the performance oriented variant of the Tigor that gets the Nexon’s 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. It is available in the following variants for both petrol and diesel engine options: XE, XM, XZ and XZ+. The XZA, which gets an AMT variant, is limited to the petrol engine. The modified Tigor features driver and co-driver airbags as standard components, while the top variant comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display with voice command recognition.

Maruti Vitara Brezza

Maruti’s new road stopper, Vitara Brezza, is powered by a 1.3l DDiS200 diesel engine that makes 90PS of power and 200Nm of torque, and gets a choice of a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed automated manual transmission. The compact SUV has electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, rain-sensing auto wipers, rear parking camera, multiple-coloured illuminated dials, push-button start/stop, cruise control and automatic climate control, etc. Maruti’s Vitara Brezza has bagged a 4-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test.

Honda Activa 5G

Ranked as the top selling model in September 2018, the Honda Activa 5G is available in eight attractive shades. It is air-cooled, and constitutes a single-cylinder engine that delivers 8PS of power at 7500rpm and 9Nm of torque at 5500rpm. Braking is done via 130mm drum brakes on both ends, with Honda’s combi brake system (CBS). Honda has equipped the Activa 5G with 10-inch wheels shod with 100/90 section tubeless tyres.

TVS Wego

Positioned as a woman-friendly moped with its low kerb weight and saddle height, TVS Wego features a full-digital instrument console, a first for any TVS scooter. Wego produces 8PS and 8.4Nm of peak torque. The smart scooter has an under-seat storage of 16 litres while mobile charger is an optional extra and rides on 12-inch diameter alloy wheels which aid in improving stability and handling dynamics.
