How does a typical day start for you?

Do you have any morning ritual that you follow religiously which helps you face the day? My day starts with my family and a cup of tea. There is no particular morning ritual, but I try to keep my mornings relaxed so that I am ready for the rest of the day.

How do you unwind at the end of a hectic day?

I spend time with my kids, helping them with schoolwork and playing with them.

What do you prefer to do during leisure? Do you have any hobbies that you pursue?

I like to play tennis whenever I can and watch a good movie.

What genre of movies do you prefer? Is there a favorite?

I love watching a good movie, specifically if it is an action flick. Godfather is my all-time favourite.

What do you read for pleasure?

Newspaper and articles on current sociopolitical issues.

What is your idea of a perfect holiday? Do you have any favorite holiday spot?

short fun-filled holiday with my family sounds ideal. Visiting my hometown Lucknow is my favourite holiday spot.

How do you achieve a work-life balance? Who do you think to form your biggest support system?

Spending time with family helps me achieve balance.

What keeps you going? Is there any life mantra that you emulate?

Is there any aspiration (outside of work) that you would like to fulfill this year?
I’d like to take a good vacation with my family.

What keeps you busy outside of OPD? Are there any projects or initiatives that you are working with?

At present, I am pretty busy with my work at Manipal Hospital, New Delhi. However, I would like to be involved in social work and give back to society as and when I find the time.

How would you describe yourself in five words?

That would be difficult to say, although I hope I continue to learn as I work and that I am able to care for and help my patients along the way.
