SCHINDLER’S LIST
Not a classic in the vintage sense, but nevertheless a film to be watched and treasured and learned from, Schindler’s List is a historic period drama based on the novel, Schindler’s Ark, by Australian novelist Thomas Kenneally. The film tells the story of Oskar Schindler, who saved more than 1,000 Polish Jews from the Holocaust by employing them in his factories. A box office success, the film, which was made on a budget of $22 million, went on to gross over $322 million across the globe.
