CLASSIC REEL: REAR WINDOW

Another Alfred Hitchcock mystery thriller to find a place in all-time classic films, Rear Window is based on the short story, It Had To be Murder written by Cornell Woolritch. The film is acclaimed by many critics to be Hitchcock’s best creation and received four Oscar nominations. A treatise on the power of observation, Hitchcock unveils the story from the point of view of photographer Jeff who is confined to his wheelchair recuperating after an accident, and watches the neighbourhood shenanigans and eventually, a murder, from his rear window.
